A Port Day in Cozumel, Mexico!

Cozumel Beach

Cozumel is always a fun destination! When I worked as a performer on Disney Cruise Line, we would dock here every other week and both the crew and the guests always had a great time.

With so many activities to choose from ranging from relaxing on the beach, shopping, snorkeling/scuba diving, visiting ancient Mayan Ruins on the mainland or taking a Jeep/ATV tour…there is definitely no shortage of ways to make the most of your time here on this beautiful island gem of the Mayan Riviera.

My most recent visit to Cozumel was a part of our sailing itinerary while aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. It was a beautiful hot sunny day and I couldn’t resist the need for a good beach day! Cozumel has tons of beautiful sandy beaches and many of them offer all-inclusive packages for the day. With an all-inclusive option you can get full use of their facilities including things like beach chairs and hammocks, umbrellas, pool, wifi and of course the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option is always a plus!

To get to one of these beaches from where the ship docks, you can easily grab a taxi which are accessible right as you exit the port. The taxi stands have destinations and prices listed on a big board, so there no need to worry about guessing how much your ride will cost. I recommend getting to the beach early so you can have your choice of beach lounger! We chose to go to Mr. Sancho’s Beach with their all-inclusive package of $50 USD per person, and we were so glad we did. All of the staff and servers were very attentive and friendly, the food and drinks were great, the beach was gorgeous…and after 7 hours of fun in the sun, we still didn’t want to leave.

Check out the video for a glimpse of our experience at Mr. Sancho’s; and next time you visit Cozumel, maybe you’ll consider an all-inclusive beach option yourself!
