Experience the Arizona Renaissance Festival!

Did you know that Arizona has one of the largest Renaissance Festivals in North America?

Step back in time and experience the Arizona Renaissance Festival! Huzzah! You can spend a full day here in this massive 30-acre recreation of a 16th century village and enjoy shows like falconry, magic, music, comedy and dancing that take place on 13 different stages (my favorite is the Dead Bob Show).

There are historical demonstrations of artistry and village life and you can even cheer for your favorite armored knight in the tournament of jousts that takes place two times a day in a 5,000 seat arena. There are also over 200 shops where you can get some awesome items like renaissance clothing, jewelry, original art pieces, magic brooms, glassware, pottery, furniture and décor…I could go on and on. There are tons of food selections for all tastes, meat eaters, vegetarians, indulgent desserts and sweets and even adult beverages. There is an entire cast of actors who roam the festival dressed in traditional garb who love to interact with the guests (that’s you!) If you really want to get involved, think about dressing up yourself! Some guests come dressed in their own traditional costumes or you can also rent one at the Costume Shoppe as soon as you entire the festival.
I love going to the Arizona Renaissance Festival! It’s always a good time, whether you are into history or just looking for a fun and different way to spend the day! It is open for about 2 months usually between February and March, located just outside Apache Junction, parking is free and you can also get discount tickets! So bring your friends and your kids and you may even get to meet the King and Queen. Huzzah!

Ps…Don’t forget your sunscreen, a hat and stay hydrated!
